BTI ROADM
Introduction
Models
- BTI has three type of ROADMs. They can either be 2D or 4D:
- 2D with 40 channel with 100Ghz channel spacing.
- 4D with 40 channel with 100Ghz channel spacing.
- 4D with 96 channel with 50Ghz channel spacing.
2D 40 Ch
- 2 bidirectional client ports.
- Uses 100Ghz channel spacing.
- Can switch up to 40 wavelengths.
4D 40 Ch
- 4 bidirectional client ports.
- Used when 3 or 4 network spans intersect.
- Uses 100 Ghz channel spacing.
- Can switch up to 40 wavelengths.
4D 96 Ch
- 4 bidirectional client ports.
- Used when 3 or 4 network spans intersect.
- Uses 50 Ghz channel spacing.
- Can switch up to 96 wavelengths.
- Is incapable with any of the 40ch parts like mux/dmux or 40ch ROADMs.
ROADM Nodes
- ROADMs can be configured to act as a number of nodes:
- ROADM Node
- ROADM Terminal
- Line Equalizing Node
- Line Amplifier Node
- Amplifier Terminal
