IS IS Default Route

Introduction

There are two ways of generating a default route: default-route-originate and attached-bit.

Default Route Originate

  • If a ISIS router has a default route, it can advertise it with default-route originate as L2 route.
  • There is a conditional options for using route-map.
  • If advertising the default-route on a L1 routers, make sure in set the level of this default route to Level-1. See config example.
