MPLS CsC Overview


MPLS Carrier Supporting Carrier is an architecture where carrier's customer is another MPLS carrier and uses the Core MPLS network for to extend their MPLS network.


  • Carriers-Carrier is only used to carry the loopback address of Carrier-Customers external next-hops prefixes. It provides connectivity for the Carrier-Customers' PE routes to establish BGP VPN sessions.
  • The interconnection between customer carrier uses a similar configuration as Inter-AS Option C. For details see MPLS Inter-AS Option C.
